The public sector has been using PEPPOL for a couple of years now, which has required suppliers to be able to send e-invoices in the PEPPOL BIS Billing 3 standard. The curiosity about PEPPOL is now spreading to other industries and sectors to an increasing degree. PEPPOL is originally an abbreviation for Pan-European Public Procurement On-Line and is a solution for electronic procurement developed at the European level to make e-commerce and e-procurement easier. PEPPOL’s ‘four-corner model’ offers many advantages. Thanks to the standardization of formats and communication methods, the cost of both connecting new trading partners and operations can be kept low. This is because PEPPOL does not rely on point-to-point setups.     Where is PEPPOL used?<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    PEPPOL is the European standard that future communication methods will increasingly be based on and has also begun to be adopted by other parts of the world, including Asia, America, and Oceania. <\/p>

    The previously recommended SVE format has, according to SFTI, passed its expiration date and should not be used for new e-invoice setups. Within the framework of PEPPOL, the invoice flow is the most used message type, although other types (order, price catalog, etc.) will increasingly be used in the future. <\/p>

    The maturity level of the PEPPOL standard varies greatly between different countries and industries. Therefore, there may be a need for alternative ways to communicate. Through the breadth of communication methods and extensive experience, Viaduct allows both the “new” and the “old” to coexist. In this way, desired communication can be set up through PEPPOL while certain communication (for example, through EDIFACT) is used when necessary. This need can arise from your company or from a customer or supplier where specific message types (order, order response, delivery notification, etc.) simply do not exist or have not reached the required maturity level. <\/span><\/p>
