Being a supplier to the automotive industry places high demands on structure, data quality, and delivery precision. When Fogmaker International AB faced a transition to Monitor ERP system, a critical decision point emerged: to ensure that their existing EDI flows would not only continue functioning, but also be improved and scaled to meet future needs.

Challenges

Fogmaker already had an established EDI solution, but in connection with the ERP transition, several challenges became evident. The existing EDI flows needed to be adapted to the new business system, while still ensuring compliance with the high requirements for structured and accurate data set by customers in the automotive industry. In addition, there were manual steps in the forecast, order, and invoicing processes, a risk of errors during the transition between systems, and a need for a solution that could be deployed quickly without disrupting operations. The ERP transition also created an opportunity to secure future requirements and improve overall ways of working.

Solution & Implementation

Viaduct implemented a modern and integrated EDI solution, closely connected to Monitor ERP, which includes:

EDI for forecasts – automated handling of forecast and order data
EDI for delivery notifications – accurate and timely communication that goods are on their way
EDI for invoices – efficient and error-free invoicing
Full integration with the new ERP system
Elimination of manual and repetitive tasks

By standardizing and automating the processes, a solid foundation was created for continued digital development. The project was carried out in parallel with the ERP implementation, with a focus on minimizing risk and quickly delivering business value ahead of go-live on short notice:
